COMMUNITIES: PROJECTS IN PREDEVELOPMENT
Domus prides itself on the relationships it is able to create with the
local city governments and local communities with which it works. Focusing
on sustaining these true public-private partnerships, Domus often helps
cities find solutions to issues they are dealing with, whether it be
blight, an abundance of foreclosed properties or a lack of healthy, safe
and sanitary afforable housing units. Domus also outreaches to the local
communities to better understand and address their needs.

14 Affordable Units
Domus is working with the City of Pittsburg to deal with some of their forcelosed properties by proposing to rehabilitate a blighted duplex and fourplex and building two single family homes. The project will help the city add to its affordable housing stock while cleaning up some blighted and asbestos ridden properties concentrated in the same area of town.

Domus is currently in talks with the City of Vallejo to renovate the
historic 1917 Vallejo Masonic Temple and
1864 Vallejo City Hall that are currently foreclosed and vacant.
Domus is proposing to transform the space into an art focused community
with artist lofts, studio space, perfomance space and an exhibition space.
The project will aim to revitalize the downtown area while supporting
the arts and the adjacent Empress Theatre.
